They got rid of the catagory errors!

Not sure why you think that, but the Error Category is still there.

Go to the bottom of the page and opt-out of the new "search experience", which hopefully they won't shove down our throat.

Wow, Thanks Bobby, the opt out worked. I did get though on the phone and she did not mention that,

I was a Bad test. I did get to go through some of it and I see what they were trying to do, but the search function was really messed up.

Is that test for everyone or just some?

It made it hard and time consuming to navigate which means lower prices on things if they did it in mass.

Not sure, all I know is that all our id's were opted-in without us personally opting-in.

I haven't really messed around with it too much yet, but I don't really like it.

Man, does that new format stink. Why can't I find a job where I can get paid to mess up something that was working just fine?

I did not opt in but was stuck with it a few months ago. I found a few things that were pretty cool but can't remember right now exactly what they were! I emailed ebay expressing my displeasure at the slow search feature. As has been suggested you should let them know how you feel. Perhaps they will tweak the new system and it will improve its functionality. Mike

I do like that I can combine my search for certified coins, like if I want to see all PCGS, NGC, ANACS or ICG coins of a certain denomination.

The weird thing is just searching "certified" coins comes up with less results. It's new, they'll probably tweak it and make it better. I'm willing to give it a shot. It certainly filters out much of the garbage.

Edit: And here's a cool thing I just discovered. You can save a search perameter, and even elect to have it email you every time a new match is listed.

I cannot believe why they would design a major auction site that is less user friendly than the previous one.

They ( ebay) just opted me back in after I opted out earlier, and yes spider they made it way less user friendly then before. The search feature is horrible. I hope to find some deals in the next few days while everyone leaves in disgust.

You could do this with the old format by going to a denomination & using the TPG as a keyword search.

This feature was also available under the old format.

I'm not opposed to change as long as it's in the right direction. Unfortunately, this change is neither logical or desireable. It would be nice to search coins by a date range, but the ranges they chose have types that overlap. If you are looking for SLQ's you have to look at 2 date ranges. I only looked at the 2nd one, but it was mixed with Washington quarters. I aslo noticed if you wanted to look at Trade dollars that the date range overlapped with Morgans. You end up having to wade through a bunch of coins that don't match your interest.

Just tried it some more, and it does suck. Them trying to make it easier actually made it harder to search.
