In '95 when I came back I looked into playing some how.. but where I live... the game just doesn't exist, nor is there any type of population that will support it at this time.. yet... unfortunately...
But wow what a great game! Love it!

I was there during the days of Gary Ablett ... he was a great player to watch.. so I guess you could say I liked Geelong.. but I was also a North melbourne supporter....
Now the NFL is okay.. but if you can get a chance.. the CFL (canadian game) in my opinion is a much better game... the players clearly are not as good as any really good player goes to the NFL for the $$ but the rules in CFL are a bit better.. encourages a lot more aggressive play b/c there's only 3 downs instead of 4.. the field is much wider and longer and the receivers and backs can all go in motion..

Where in Canada are you from? I'm originally from Ottawa and head back every two years or so, if you're in that area I can always bring stuff back for you.

Thank you that is a very kind gesture.. but I live in Winnipeg... east to west it's really smack dab in the middle of the country... but geographically it's also close to nothing... a 20 minute drive in any direction in this city will most likely yield a view that would allow you to see your dog running away for 3 days. (local way of saying... it's very flat and there's nothing to see for miles)
Once again in no rush but thought I would put it out here on this board and hopefully someone work with me on this... I'm sure something will come up....

Hey, I could pull a set of 94 issued coins out for f circulation for you.
Maybe we can do a trade? I know someone who loves Canada and likes coins so maybe you can pull a set out from circulation there?
I could send you all th VB you like for a reasonable fee on top of retail price and shipping, shipping would probably cost a bit, I've never done it before but I'd be happy to try.
I'd like a contact in Canada you know. I can talk about coins, Vb and almost anything else Australian but, can't tell you a thing about Aussie rules football, lol. I hate it. I reckon its the worst game in the world! I love NFL, love the patriots!!

smn: all of our beer and "spirits" shotps are controlled by the covernment here in my "province" (state)... by the liqour commision.. (LC)
So being a government agency has it's advantages in the fact that occasionally you can "piggy back" on a commercial order.. for import...
We have one austrialian restaurant here in Winnipeg and they do order VB so occasionally when they make an order I have been able to piggy back on that order of import for a slab or 2 ... or 5.
Would love to keep in contact with you smn! Feel free to send me a PM any time... As for a trade... I think that would be great. Just tell me what you'd like or what you're looking for and I'm sure if I don't already have it I could probably get it pretty easy unless it's a key date in high grade

Aaaaaableeetttttt! 94' what a great season to watch the cats. It doesn't get much better than watching Gary Ablett Snr in his prime! Watch out if the cats can pick up Dangerfield next year! To be honest I really don't have much in the way of Aussie stuff so I think I would be grateful for anything...
I go through some of my buckets and pull out what I did manage to take back in pocket change and post on here...
