Quote:That thing looks nearly perfect in comparison to this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1865-ONE-DO...em43d8e6912dGood lord, do people actually buy these? Also laughably pathetic. There's actually a bid on that one. I suppose either could serve as comic relief in somebody's black cabinet.

Hey, I have one of those... got it from the bottom of a coin lot I pickrd up at a vegas estate auction. It's about the size of a morgan and sticks to a magnet like white on rice on a paper plate in a snow snow storm

Absolutely pathetic. None of these coins look even remotely close to authentic...

I can't believe you guys don't recognize that Morgan as an early pattern! Cascade- I really like that Washington dollar. Neat. How much was it?

This auction ended 13 days ago. I actually hope it went through - he got 79 cents for it.

Hey darth, it was at the bottom of a bag coin lot I bought by accident at an estate auction in Las vegas about 2yrs ago. I paid around $60+fees for the bag with hundreds of various state IHC, buff nics & world coins with some silver. It was an accidental score! Also have a brshier doubloon copy from it too (bad copy)

I just got one on ebay. I submitted a best offer of $5.00, and the seller accepted! Yay! It doesn't look as good as yours, Cascade, but I'm happy with it nonetheless. I'm going to put it in a Coin World slab and make a special label for it. I love exonumia stuff like this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/37127827411...RK:MEBIDX:IT

It's been a long time since it was just me, Darth. It's all of us now; Coin Community has a full-on cadre of excellent photographers, supporting and learning from the subtle differences in each others' technique. Look at how many different members offer sound advice when someone asks in passing about photography. I may have laid some of the original bricks but you guys built this place.
