Well I give up I just can't get a close up with my camera. That one turned out real good but no more will. Have a real good camera but don't know how to use it very good has all kinds of settings I know nothing about.

Bruce, to take close up pics with the Kodak P850 you need to turn the mode dial to scene (SCN). Then move the joystick to display scene mode descriptions. Press the OK button to choose a scene mode. The scene mode you need is one that looks like a flower. This is your macro setting. This should set the camera to take close up pics that won't be blurry.
Hope this helps

Well thank you I did use SCN but may not have tried scene mode will try that this morning.
Everytime I try to get a close shot I get a red (AF) in the screen.
Will try that scne mode thanks.

Well tried that setting on the Kodak P850 and it worked better but the pictures are still blurry and not good enough to see the coin details.
The sun is out today maybe I will go outside and try one and see what happens.

When I use my Kodak for close -ups I also use the "flower " setting. It does not really allow for close enough pictures . Try taking the pictures and then use a photo editing program to crop them closer to the coin and the pics will get larger as the crop gets smaller.I find that as long as you get a good focus from a few inches away the cropping usually does not pixelate too much until you zoom in. Good luck ! And those are some great coins !

Well just sent in 10 of these coins to NGC to be graded, that is the 1st coins I have ever sent a little confusing I think I did it right. With there no grade issue and all the questions it feels like I must grade these myself before sending. Anyway I hope they grade they look good to me will post what they graded at on here and try and take a picture and add them to the sale section for anyone that may be interested before I put them on ebay for this friend to sell.

My daughter just also told me her father in law was adding pennies into a HUGE jug for the last 50 years there must be $ 200 to $ 300.00 her mother in law is taking these to the bank and dump in them in a coin counter for the bank.
I said oh do not do that I will take them all and pay her the face value and pick through them over the years, who knows may find some good ones like a treasure hunt. I do have quite a few penny albums some almost full maybe I can fill he blanks now and start a bunch of new albums.

Very wise decision, you will be happy you did. Way to save the Lincolns! I dream of getting my hands on a stash like that.

I did a quick check at Teletrade, you may want to check the site out. They have regular auctions of slabbed coins, the prices the coins sell for are fairly representative of what you could expect to see at a retail sale. That being said, I looked up a few of your dates/grades that sold in the last few months, as follows:
$2.50 Gold 1914 MS61 sold for $800 1915 AU58 ........ $250 1915 MS61 ........ $280
$5.00 Gold 1893CC MS62 ..... $3500
$10 Gold 1898 AU58 ..... $320 1914 AU58 ..... $500
My notes were pretty sloppy, so you probably need to double check all of these. Do a web search for Teletrade, or tack a ".com" on the end. Looking back & comparing I'm seeing that these numbers are lower than yours, but unless I mixed up dates/grades they should be close to market prices.

RedBook as far as pricing isn't worth a hoot (it is great for information but the pricing is all over the chart) I would go to ebay and check ended auctions and see what the same coin in the same grade has sold for in the past, and then I would go to teletrade, heritage and see what they have sold for there as well and then you will have a better price in mind to ask for the coins because as I said the RedBook is a very poor pricing guide but a wealth of other information in there that makes the book almost priceless for collectors
