$2 is the floor for that date in that condition. As I said, you could potentially get a little more for it with better pictures and if you get the right bidders on the right day. 1918-P is a pretty common date with a mintage of 32 million, so you won't get just too much of a premium for it.

You would be well served to learn how to take coin photographs in a different manner ...
Honestly ... the blurry images of the coin in hand with hand in photo are very distracting.
At a minimum ... cut your fingernails. Yikes.
Lay the coin flat on a neutral surface and try again ...
Even so ... not a high valued example.

By the way Robinson1990. I take all my coin pics with my iPhone. If you need some smart phone photo tips I can give you a few pointers.

Probably a couple of bucks, unless it is a variety. I had a 1918 DDR that sold for close to $200. Would need better pics to tell if it could be a variety coin

Quote: Probably a couple of bucks, unless it is a variety. Quote: $4 at most Quote: No, almost no on e would pay 20 bucks for it. Quote: $2 is the floor for that date in that condition. Quote: Probably a $3 coin. Quote: I'd say maybe a $2-$4 coin I'm not an expert with the Buffalo nickel and the pictures aren't the best but I must be missing something. Here is a link to numismedia.com showing the FMV http://www.numismedia.com/cgi-bin/c...de2=pricesmsI would grade it VF-20 and the links from ebay Dith Pran put up support numismedia values. Why are most people here valuing it so low..

Go to ebay and search "1918 Buffalo nickel full horn" then filter by sold items and sort by "price low to high". You will see SEVERAL examples of this coin in that grade range that sold in that $2-$5 range. It does look like a couple managed to fetch more, but that is not the norm. I wouldn't necessarily go by a price guide like numismedia or even Red Book really. ebay sales of raw coins almost ALWAYS go for lower than pretty much any listed price guide.

After doing a search on e-bay I was able to find several being sold for around $5 but as with any coin the condition does dictate the price and those are the low grade coins selling for that price.

I saw quite a few full horn examples for that price. Until he posts better pictures, though, it's almost impossible to judge the grade of his.
