I'm working on $50 in pennies for The Cent Project- I had mine shipped from California, because I'm having an almost impossible task of getting circulated pennies from the Shreveport, LA area- all are BU 2007D! Lately, 9 out of every 10 pennies I get from change have been 2007D, so they are really flooding this area with those coins.

Anyhow, in my $50 I found a lot of S mint marked 68-74, 12 wheats (42S being the oldest) and an amazing 1907 VG Indian cent. The data are really fascinating- for example, I got 12 69S but not a single 69 P.

I am a gung-ho supported of The Cent Project. This is a really awesome idea and I hope some of you volunteer, as they still need them. Go to thecentproject.com

Hi Guys and Gals

As enthused as I am about the cent project ,,Please post your discussions on the project in the thread provided in the error/Variety forum .

you can find all the threads associated with the cent project here .

https://goccf.com/t/21499

It is much easier for all those involved to have one place to look for all of your great finds and info on your search if we keep it centralised !

Sheepy thats a large date ,,but a very pretty coin !

Thanks

Metalman

Whatever "S" mints Amac44 does not take, I will. Also any pre 1930 wheats. Are you willing to sell/trade that toned 70S ?

Email me with prices.

Thanks.

Just being nosey but where did you acquire your coins? How many are you going through? You make it sound like a monumental task. Must be lots of them. If you Have thousands of them you may want to use the https://www.coppercoins.com web site for massive varieties. So what are you plans with all the ones you don't want? To a bank?
Oh by the way if you run into any large cents mixed in, would you let me know? Usually not easy to spot though.
Rest in Peace

For the first time in many years, I have decided to work on my Lincolns. I probably started the set back in the 1950's, but haven't done much with it except add the new coins each year.

If I find I am missing something you might provide, I'll let you know.

Very nice of you to offer.

About a year ago my Mom gave me my dads small coin collection most of which he inherited from my grandfather. After researching a little I decidede to get a little more serious about collecting. Now I have always saved wheats and very rarely spent my pocket change just rolled it up until I had enought to make it worth my while and took it to the bank. Although I had started collecting the State Quarters when they first came out the folder I bought did'nt even have slots for separate mint marks, I have since expanded on that. But I decided to start with moderns and work from there. I bought the whitman folders for lincolns, Jeffersons, Roosevelts post 65 and washingtons post 65. I was actually pretty surprised at how well I did from the rolled change and the bucket of wheaties that I had on hand. But to make a long story short here is my list of lincolns that I still need.

On these newer pennies 59 -98 I have more trouble finding the 71S .I have 10 full sets, but that 71s gives me fits. They made over 528 million of them.I have plenty of the 68-69-70-72-73-74's and they made fewer these yrs .
