Can someone tell me where the anti-spam question and answer are so I can email someone privately about a commemorative coin?

Stone Mountain commem. all the way! Hey, it's a great looking coin with a tie to one of the most interesting times in this country's history and I live there. I like this coin by itself and the fact that I live there puts it over the top as my favorite!

Ok I bought my first commemorative, a 1893 World's Columbian Expo silver half dollar in AU for $15.00.
I agree with the Stone Mt., I do like that one as well.

The Red-book has a nice picture gallery of all the Half Dollar Commemoratives. I have begun to take an interest in these lately as well. There is a large selection available all though some are very pricey. Let us know what you decide to do. I think this an interesting and excellent question. Mike ... By the way, I like the 1925 Stone Mountain. The 1918 Illinois Centennial, the Oregon Trail(stunning!) the Hudson New York and the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge Opening....not in any real order. Again a tough question! This series may be my next attempt at doing a set.

I put modern commemoratives in my Dansco7070 where most people put classic Commems in theirs. I just didn't see any reason for 5 different slots for the same type of coin and the need to spend more on each of these than I did on alot of the classics that I have elsewhere in the album. The ones I chose were pretty much random and actually had no merit to why they are in there except for me just liking the designs on the coins them self

I never thought about looking in the RedBook, but yeh they are all there. Giving a quick look I really like: **Battle of Gettysburg.. I have visted the battlefields several times as my brother lives nearby. **Oregon Trail Memorial **Statue of Liberty Dollar **Mt Rushmore

I really like the 2008 bald eagle half dollar Commemorative that is coming out in early 2008. I've only looked at the pictures on the usmint site. They're not out yet, but I really want to get one.

I will probably buy one of the 5.00 and 1.00 versions of the Bald eagle coins but will probably buy a couple of the half dollar commems just because I like their reverse alot better than the other two but I doubt I replace any of the ones in my 7070 with it

The first one I put in my 7070 was the 1893 Columbian. I fretted for a while what I wanted the next three to be. One day I just decided to do it and I pulled both 1982 Washington Halves (MS and Proof) out of their OGP and into the album they went (Yes, I actually bought them from the Mint in 1982). They look good in there.
I have one hole left. Been debating for a few years now. I might take Bryan's advice and get another modern (since I have two already). It will probably come down to an impulse buy at a show for a good deal!

I have 2 so far for my 7070. I have a Pilgrim and a Stone Mtn. I paid more than I wanted to but man they look good in there. I might have to start a new albumn for commems if Dansco has such a book. I also like the modern commems and have an Ike and am looking for more.

So many coins and so many stories and history behind them. That is what is really special about Commorative Coins.

I thought the holes were intended for the classic commemorative halves and started with the cheapest: Columbus, Booker T, George Washington Carver Booker T, and I found a holed Stone Mountain for melt. I have since "upgraded" and replaced the Columbus with a holed Pilgrim I got for $15 and am waiting for my Lexington to arrive. I added a blank half dollar page to my 7070 for the modern commemoratives and duplicate of the classic halves.
