Wow-ok better pics but Dave? Would it help to have him put another cent up against this one and take another side view pic of edge? Those pics are still strange-it does look like 2 coins but I'm sure he would of known that if it was...

Patience. You can't expect a big crowd of watchers on Sunday and Monday. We're not done with this one.

Does it help some experts to know that the coin appears to be slight MAD from the recent pictures shtudentt posted? Notice the rim under Lincoln is thinner than above lincoln, and under the shield is thinner than above the shield. I'm thinking this might be causing the thickness of the rim that coop noticed.

I still see this coin as a partial collar error.

Strictly looks to me like post strike damage. You can tell from the obc and rev pictures that there is damage to the edge. The first pictures showed what first looked like a partial collar error but the part that would have been constrained by the collar (The smaller section) is all rough where it should be smooth, and the larger section that sould be rough or rounded is flat and smooth. Also neither the obv or rev image shows a wide rim like you should see on a partial collar. The rev picture also seems to look like a cent where someone has tried to remove the copper plating. In the third from last picture both the smaller and larger edges appear rough and uneven. I say damage all the way.
