Quote: The people breaking the law are the people here ordering them and importing them into the country. This is important to remember. The only way we can stop this is to eliminate the consumer since we have no jurisdiction over the producer.

Precisely why I chose to say eliminate.

Unfortunately it is not only from China that fake coins are coming from. And that is why there are so many out there. At a flea market not long ago one dealer had virtually hundreds of fake coins. He vanished right after that. And naturally none are marked fake, copy, etc. What a shame that such a great hobby is slowly being infiltrated by so many counterfeiters.

Some of the more convincing fakes, I've heard, are emanating from Bulgaria.

Wow, I just went there, really makes me wonder about everything I have purchased in the last 2 months.
They even have fake slabbed... I had hoped that if it PCGS it was safe.

They were selling fake 1909-S VDB's in fake PCGS slabs, MS-64's it read, for $164. Now, there's only one reason to market those at that price .... for another angler to catch a bigger fish!

They are selling a replica 1842 O Seated dollar. The obverse has the seated 1842 look, the reverse has a New Orleans Morgan dollar reserve.

Report to whom? Report fakes being sold to the owner of a site that sells mostly fake goods?

I think he thought Drew was talking about an ebay auction.

I wouldn't doubt it if there is a horrible replica like so somewhere on ebay. I've seen them on there before.
