Wow that's a great find!

I consider myself lucky if I find one silver quarter.

nice to hear all the replies, it was just my lucky day yesterday. I told the MGR (who waited on me and was in his 50's, I think) that he ought to exchange them for his own $$ at face. He called them "D-Day quarters." I thought abt going back today but it was likely only one roll and long gone.

I've searched several bags of qtrs 3-4 years ago and literally only found one silver......of course, the new machines kick them out as if they are junk!

My son works at a local burger-joint and I have taught him to recognize the sound of silver coins. Every once and a while, he'll "hear" that ring of silver coins and quickly buys them at face. He even received a Franklin half dollar as a tip!

A few years ago my boss went to the bank to get some rolls of quarters for the store. When he cracked one roll open it was all Barber quarters. He was the only one working that day. He quickly closed the store up and went back to the bank and got the rest.
He got 2 rolls total of Barber quarters. Granted, they were all in poor condition, but it was fun day.

When I was 18, I heard a waitress open a roll of quarters and dump them into the drawer. I shouted from behind the grill, "All those silver quarters are mine!" I ran around from in back and slipped in $10 and took the quarters. Of course, the waitress still needed quarters for the drawer and I had the key to the safe. I found 3 more rolls of silver quarters. $40 of silver Washingtons for $40 - that was a very good day!

Nice score mdh! I hope you enjoyed your Pepsis!

I was half bloated the rest of the day from drinking all that soda Rackster, but it was worth it!

I would have asked if I could get 4 quarters for a dollar. Or offer to go to the bank and get another roll of quarters and exchange for what was still left in the drawer.

Drink it?

Heck, I'd of dumped it in the restroom and keep ordering until they ran out of silver.

Great score! In another thread I bragged about my wife getting a single 1941 quarter. Yours is way better.
