Thanks for your input its helping alot! Ok so out of 10 rolls I have found 20 1970s and I am sure at least 1 is a small date. I will attach pictures.

Looks like you might have one...check those links as mentioned above. I work in construction so I'm pretty good with seeing "lines". I put a level line across the top of the date. The small date is about level with the top of the numbers. The large date sits significantly lower then the rest of the numbers.

Yeah.. your last pic looks like a small date, try to give us a straight on photo.

I finally broke down and bought one too. I tried, for about a year, to cherrypick one off ebay for under $10. Didn't happen. That's a great find in the wild!
