I do work construction, and I do work with some fine wood materials. I bethca some different harder wood types, and then if you put a stain over them. You can have awesome "wood coin " inserts for a table.
OHHHHHH I want some now. I want to build fancy coin furniture...anyway want some>

I have several wooden nickels, also plastic ones, aluminum, brass trade tokens (good for a beer or trade etc.) I think a wooden dollar is a good idea. Good job

Quote: I'm, sure he would be happy to add one of your wooden Ikes to his collection if you want to pass one on and I'll even take pic for the thread presenting it to him Sure thing. I'm getting him to use an entire sheet for wooden coins, which will net approximately 18 in total. So I should get 9 Ikes and 9 Morgans out of it. He is also making a giant 6-inch Morgan for me too. They're just really neat. Just send me a PM with the details, jack. Quote: I felt a tremor in the force and came here post-haste. Quote: If someone wanted one of these made what would it cost? Just $3.00. Red alder wood is apparently the best wood for engraving, and it is expensive compared with other wood types. It is in high demand. At some point I'm going to go over there and see this thing in action for myself.

0xDA71D, you forgot to note the die rotation. While they are both closer to medal alignment, the Morgan is about 45 degrees off that.
