No worries Trout I will hang in and wait and see if he is kind enough to have ago at this for me.
I got it cheap which worries me seeing the guy seems to have a fairly good idea of what he is doing to go have it checked as he claims so wondering why so cheap but it is fairly low grade. But he says he has a 30 day money back no questions asked guarantee. Just need to find out first. If I have to there is a Iswright in the city I might take it there and have it checked.

Thanks Nevol. But I have already been there and tried to compare them. Most seem right but a couple put me of as I can not really tell . The loop around the back of the head is right and most of the other pics are pretty good but the nose and the ribbon running down to the rim on obverse I cant tell if there the same.
I think it is genuine as there is a lot of circulated grime on it and most of the things seem pretty close other than a bit worn. Am I missing something. ? Thanks.

Just comparing the coin with the fake in the threepence link, I reckon it's OK. The pointy nose and the detail of the flame in front of the riders face tells me the coin is real. Something else of note is the lettering in both legends on the fake coin is much closer to the rim beads, while the lettering on the coin above IMHO is much further away as per the real thing. Just my two bobs worth.

Hi and thank you for your comment autocoupler and trout. Yes coin has arrived today , Looks quite good and I'm pretty sure it is a genuine coin all the marks seem to be right. weight is 11.2-3 grams or 0.36 ozt or 0.39 oz. Which should be about right. I will get it checked anyway like I said in earlier post.
Can anyone put a value and grade on it for me please. PS it looks better in hand than the photo in my opinion.

Looks like it's been heavily cleaned in the fields as well as the blank section of the obverse legend above the king. Not sure how you would grade a coin like this, maybe somewhere between gVF and EF. I'm no authority on the subject but I've seen coins like this sell in the region of $250.

Hi again Autocoupler and thanks for replying. I'm not sure if its been cleaned as its very dirty but does have some staining on the field area but I think some of it would wipe of pretty easy.
I am happy with the grade and price as I thought maybe F to VF and was hoping for value of about $225 . I got it for a fair deal so I am thinking maybe sell it on and up grade a little bit. Thank you again for commenting.

I agree it doesn't look right but maybe it has just been mistreated at various times.

There's no doubt that this coin is not authentic
