Looks a tad dull.
But obviously is still a great coin.

TOUGH Morgan to grade!!

Slightly muted luster on the edges. A touch of honest wear on the OBV and REV.

....and a 93 S!

I am at AU50. XF45 all day.

How old of an ANACS holder is it in? May be better off to leave as is.

Leave it alone and enjoy it "as is".

If you are ever at a show where PCGS (or NGC) is on-site, take it with you and ask them for their opinion regarding crossover.

Looks like an old tombstone slab. Eagle still has chest and leg feathers, right wing lines and tip solid and the talons still have lines. AU coin all day in my book. My guess is PCGS would cross to 53. No way I break this coin out of a AU55 holder. nlp

The wear on the coin is believable at AU55, but I am not sure what the luster looks like in hand an the coin would need some luster to cross at PCGS to AU55. I still like sending in the coin to PCGS as a crossover and do not accept any grade below AU55. PCGS likes to collect the 1% of the value on the coin when coins are crossed. If the coin does not cross, they return in the current holder and you pay grading fees and shipping only. DO NOT CRACK OUT AS YOU COULD LOSE VALUE.

XF 45. I don't see enough luster for an AU. But a very very nice 93-s

I would not be one bit surprised for it to get an AU50 to 53 on a crossover submission.
Rest in Peace

I don't think it would cross to PCGS AU55 either, but that may not be a totally bad thing. I would compare auction prices realized (if available) of ANACS AU55 versus PCGS AU50 & 53 to get an idea of weather it would be cost effective to get this into PCGS plastic. JMHO.

Before I saw the grade revealed, I was thinking XF40 or XF45.

Congrats on owning this rarity!

Ya, it looks like I didn't see the grade either. I don't know why ppl are being harsh. I see au55 all day in pcgs plastic. Send it in slabbed and see if she crosses. I would

I don't think anyone is being harsh with their grade assessment. Even the OP has it at 40/45. It just isn't an AU 93-S Morgan.
