Those look nice, GR58! I have not yet started to get those. Just not enough collecting bandwidth (money OR time!). But one of these days...

Buying more of these is something I would like to do, and probably will once the current Dansco projects are finished.

I just looked up the 1996 Prestige set, in the greysheet.
Unless I find a good deal on one, it is not one I will be buying soon.
Bid/$255 ask/$280
Ouch ......

I have them all , got the final one at an auction last year, the 1996 for $207. I haven't seen one for under $200 in a while.
Have all the premier sets and all but the 2008 Legacy sets. Then on to the Special Edition proof sets of which I have none yet.

I have all the Prestige sets as well and I believe they are and will continue to be very collectible. Many have been broken apart for collections and for grading. Plus they are something that you won't see again from the mint!

I put this set together 10+ years ago, when prices were higher. The '96 at one time was going for over $400.
Yes, they are bulky, and difficult to store, with limited space. But I think the way they are displayed makes them. And yes....1997 was the last year. Chattanooga Coin has a complete set (14) for $789 in a flyer I just received.

I like the Prestige set, but got attracted to the Premier sets (1992-1998), as an extension of my interest in Silver Proof sets. I need 9 silver proof sets for a complete set... I'm going to look at the Prestige sets after that.

Interesting. I never gave much thought to the premier set since they are just the silver set in a nicer package (and I was going to bust them anyway). I am sure that is a nice set of sets though!

I really enjoy the silver premier sets. I've got 4 or 5 of them currently. I use to have more, but I sold/traded some of them away. I found out a lot of the coin shops had these babies priced below what they were going for on ebay, so I made few dollars. I'll probably end up clearing out the silver premier set inventory at the sept. antique fest if they haven't adjusted their prices yet.
