No there is not. At least, not one graded by PCGS or NGC. The highest graded examples they have are MS-69 and those are 1880-S (pop. 5 PCGS, 0 NGC) and 1881-S (2 PCGS, 0 NGC). One graded 70 would be

I think if an MS-70 Morgan certified by PCGS or NGC existed, it would be priceless...

I own 9 Morgans + 1 Counterfeit Morgan and none of them are that high, I have 2 1880-S and a 1881-P and they are MS, but probably 63's. The others are around Good to VG.

1) 1880-S
2) 1880-S
3) 1887-O
4) 1890-O
5) 1900-O
6) 1892-S
7) 1881-P
I'm forgetting the other two... theyre locked in a fire box and I don't want to pull it apart

Then I have a 1901-O Counterfeit

There is also the Jack Lee 1896-S in MS69, a coin which is vanishingly close to 70. There is one mark next to a star on it, and that's all.

The highest I have owned were two MS-66 coins. To be honest there isn't a huge difference between 65 and 66. You can get 67 luster on a 65 if you are willing to look past a few light bag marks.

I too have handled and owned a fair number of MS67, + and * graded Morgans, never a MS68 though. The last Legend sale had a couple as I recall. They are not out of sight in pricing, but still not exactly cheap either, one would run around $4500+ for one. I know Larry Shapiro Coins regularly carries them in stock, in fact a current search reveals quite a few of them in his stock.

Nice is understating it and then some.

Great coin.

When editing this post to insert the graphic after realizing that my post turned the page, I notice from the file info that it is NGC PR60. I will have to look closer after this edit, but that has to be better than PR60.

Nice link for Larry Shapiro. Great selection of Morgan dollars available there.
