I posted this nickel a month ago: https://goccf.com/t/233953
I jumped on this topic for that reason. After finding out about lathe lines I knew the site where they were listed

There are several different dies that year that has the lathe lines on the obverse.

These are hard to attribute. It might be 15 or 16.

SSK,
I know you know better then taking the pic with the coin IN the holder I can barely see the lathe lines. There also seems to be a lot of dust or whatever in the 2x2,you need to make sure the 2x2 is clean inside before enclosing the coin. What I do is partially fold the 2x2 and flick it a few times with my finger to knock off the dust.Your coin seems to be in nice condition.

I was in hurry because my dad was about to leave and I only had a few seconds to take and send the pictures. The dust is actually on top of the holder. I was on an airplane and the the holder got dust from other holders on it. If that makes sense. Sorry about that. Thanks for the advice though.

SSK, I can feel your pain on not being able to attribute these well. For my nickel I have 2 choices and I narrowed it down to 2 :D
Although, I think mine is a -01. A lot of the die markers are so minimal since they come from fresh dies they are very hard to locate

Sometimes markers are added to the die, after your coin was struck. Some fade with time. (die scratches) Some are covered over with new die scratches.

Right, I also figured once the mint catches onto the lathe line mistake they polish it out. Which would mean lathe line errors come from some pretty fresh dies that haven't had much chance to get some wear on them.
