I'm at 64, great coin. Think the field marks in front of Liberty will keep it out of the 65 class.

My first impression is MS 64, but I would not be surprised if the coin is graded MS 65.

What does PL mean as far as grading Morgans? Say you have a 1881MS63 PL grade. What does the PL mean? I just started with collecting Morgans.

Probably like the rest say MS-64, but maybe slab as MS-63.

PL means prooflike. On the coin in the thread PL was something that I considered as the obverse is showing mirrors and some contrast.

I will say MS-64 but I would have no problems with an MS-65 grade (by modern standards)

Thanks CB, you and macmercury nailed it and everyone who said 64, I agree that it would have a shot but the payoff would not be there to re-submit.
