I'm in at VG08 .... not nearly worn enough for a lowball collectors interest.

I think this coin has good eye appeal for the grade.
Old school grading puts a lot of focus on "LIBERTY" Combination of three letter = VG coin All letters, but weak = Fine.
Modern grading seems to be getting away from that, somewhat.
IMO - for this coin.
Obverse - Full rims, some detail at eye and wreath Reverse - Full rims, some detail at motto, shield lower wings.
I feel this is a solid, no problem, VG coin.
Before I hit send - Just took a look at my Ipad. The details of this coin look just like the VG8 pictured on PCGS photo grade app. At least to me.

Thank you all. They eye appeal is what sold me on the coin. I'm with all of you in that I'm torn between G-6 and VG-8. The fact that it is such a low mintage coin coupled with nice eye appeal I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Plus the cost was less than half of G-6 money so it was, at least to me, a no brainer. When it arrives I'll take some additional shots and post some pics. I really appreciate the comments, it always helps...

Between G-6 and VG-8. Nice coin for a Barber half set though.

This looks like a VG-8 to me.

Could go VG8 but more likely a G6 hopefully no details due to the deep scratch on the reverse. I love the last 3 years of Barber halves, as the mintage is just so dang low! I always picked them out when I was a dealer, and customers always bought them as fast as I could find any, no matter the grade or damage it seemed.

I like it.
Therefore I say vg8.
I think the eye appeal, plus enough of the other features makes up for the sliver of liberty missing. If it had a full 3 letters, I think it would be a vg10.
