I'm not sure if you are serious about burying this wonderful coin or just messing with us. If you are serious please consider one of the missions of this forum - encouraging young collectors to join this hobby. How about choosing a young teen collector to receive the coin of their dreams. That's what this forum is all about. Otherwise I'm just seeing your posts as trash talk to get attention. Do the right thing and advance the hobby or bury it if you really think that's the right thing to do.

That is an amazing coin! Imagine all the history behind it. It has truly seen a LOT. One day I may have a chance to own a coin like that. Just about any 1790s coin is unattainable for my YN budget. I would seriously reconsider burying that coin.

SSK I've been looking at Draped Bust quarters, and I've noticed that you can get a nice full rim G4 for somewhere around 200. I think I may end up saving to purchase one of those.

If you want to keep the tradition going go to the bank and get a box of cents.
Bury some, drop some in grassy areas, etc and they will eventually end up in the ground for the next generation to find.
It would be a plus if you got a solid box of 2015's. I haven't gotten a solid box at all this year of nickels or cents whereas the last 3 years I have gotten at least 4 of each.

Yeah. Send it to me. I have a whole bunch of worn, damaged, and nearly-dead coins in my collection. I would love it dearly.

Send it to me? I am a young numismatist who would love a coin like that! Lol, oh well. I think that if you want to bury a coin, it should be mint state and newer, so the next generation can dig up an old and nice coin!
