I questioned this too until I pulled three out of one box a year ago. One was copper-plated, another AU-BU and another was a roll-ender.

Having searched a lot of $25.00 boxes my finds were 2 or 3. You can find them but in low grades. I then bought them from a friend at the MS range. They look real nice in my 7070.
They are not too expensive so go for it. Good luck.

I personally have not found one but they are cheap to buy in circulated condition.

I have been putting the P-mints back into circulation every week or so for a couple of years, so they're still out there!

Possible, yes. Probable, no. Most of the armored carriers screen out magnetic coins/slugs since almost all magnetic coins are foreign, the only exception being 1943 cents.

Of course, anything is possible. I've found a few 43-p coins but all were in bad shape..

Wait, then the 1943 cents would be pulled?

I would give a free steel cent to anyone who asked for it. I just can't figure out how to do it efficiently given the postage problem.

Yeah my banks machine screens for steel but I'm not sure my carrier does because I sometimes get plated steel canadian coins. Never got a 1943 but I never hunted cents much maybe six boxes.

Luckily I never have time for it anymore. I used crh to keep me in the hobby when I couldn't afford much. Use the extra hobby time now to sell toys on ebay which let's me buy a lot more better coins then I ever been able to afford before.

self-addressed stamped envelope of ye olden years? (SASE)

I think I found a Canadian steel cent in a roll. would have to double check, I am pretty sure my area would not see them as they seem to get most coins from banks and Coinstar so those magnetic probably catch evrything thinking it to be a washer.

Bag, I have never been able to get so no idea what could be in the, so boxes probably no, CWRs probably yes.
