Sounds like one for the graders, the distance between the the right leaf and crown, seems a bit big, but that could be due to wear. DBM, what do you think of what appears to be a fold on the right?

There is always a fold in the right velvet of a small crown, the fold is more on the face of the velvet rather than the top as on the large crown, sometimes lighting or toning can make the fold appear more pronounced.

I took some more photos under artificial light, sunlight and the flash on my camera as well as tried to blow up the crown on each. Hope they give a better picture.

It looks small to me. I find it useful to get an earlier and later quarter and put them all side by side. It is usually then easy to tell.

I haven't found my loupe yet out of my boxes so I can't say for certain about that leaf(although to my naked eye it does look like it). Ill probably just buy another loupe tomorrow, been impossible to find doubling without it and I can't seem to see pennies properly without it either.
Anyone ever been to Carsleys Ive been thinking I'd have some of my stuff checked out there as I live in Montreal now.
