Well a dollar in U.S. With free shipping. Because coins from Australia can't be taken to a bank for money outside Australia only banknotes. so they're only worth 50% of face and there's millions made I think so not too rare.

Nice joke that one is. And as far as I know, banks around the world don't accept foreign coins for exchange, only banknotes and then over a certain value. No idea where you got the 50% face value from, we do not demonetize coins in Australia, unlike the UK. So they will always be worth A$2.

I think you would be lucky to even see one in circulation, much less attempting to get one for less than face value. So far the colored coins are removed from circulation so quickly - you would think someone has invested in vacuum cleaners to selectively pick colored coins only. I have not seen a colored coin for a while.

I have all four types that have been issued for circulation. The 'issued for circulation' is my criterion for collecting them. I normally don't collect modern coins, but in this case they are quite tacky being pad color printed.
It IS unusual to see a mint issue color pad printed coins into circulation. It is this aspect of unusualness that I collect them.
