Oh wow. I knew they say Machine Doubling isn't worth much, but I know I would buy it just because of how dramatic it is. Awesome find!

Perhaps the height (or depth) of a device is more susceptible to the movement thus leaving other devices/features alone. Just thinking.

 with Rackster. I read that is why so many mintmarks have Strike Doubling and nothing else does. They are usually the last point of contact with the die.

I think MD can be pretty cool. I have LMC with doubling that makes his beard look King Tut like.

Awesome pic, Coop. Anybody that has trouble with devices reduced in size due to Machine Damage, needs only to look at that. You can see what's missing on the die so easily. Very nice.

I want to give credit to Ray Parkhurst for these. The 3-D affect helps a lot with seeing varieties as well. But this one was one I was hoping would happen and it really shows it off.. Very nicely. Thanks again Ray!
