MS63PL. The prooflike fields tend to look worse than they are.

The marks to Liberty's face and scuffs to her hair above the ear and also to the tip of the cap ought to limit this to MS63. The contrast between the devices and fields suggest it's at least semi-PL, but since a PL designation depends upon the clarity of the fields' reflectivity, well, there's just no way to teel about that from these photos, excellent though they are.

I wouldn't even give it a +, the toning is not PQ.

If that coin is a 66PL two graders must've been totally drunk to grade it that high.....it is a good possibility the slab could be fake? I would stay away from this coin especially cause it's a common date,

The reverse carried the grade on this one. I'm not a fan of splitting the obverse and reverse grades and assigning an "overall grade" in this type of situation. For me a Morgan dollar can never grade higher than the obverse. Just a personal opinion and rule of thumb.

I had the same thought for a CAC sticker, but my sticker would have been red with a big F for FLUNKED.

I was in at 63, it graded as a 66? I wonder if the grader dropped his glasses before grading this one?
