Old ANACS MS 62 PL I highly doubt it's really PL but you never know. I'll take clear pictures once it arrives.

My guess would have been 62, but would have missed the PL

I did not believe this coin was PL based on seller pictures, figured it was just old grading standards version of PL. Boy, was I wrong.. Beautiful band of rainbow toning on the obverse and reverse, definite mirror fields with a nice cameo effect. Nowhere near DMPL but definitely PL. Overall coin is toned very lightly golden.

It turned out to be a VAM-56 with clash but no letter transfer, a small bonus. I just picked up a 1881-S ANACS Photo Certificate coin last week, waiting on it to show up. This particular seller had another old ANA Morgan listed and I got bid sniped, but I think I have found tactics to help overcome that problem in the future thanks to a helpful tip from a certain forum member.

You did good on that gamble! I too had it at MS62 but no PL as ANACS graded it. Nice looking coin, I love the little old white holders too.

Hi all! I'm new to this forum and am writing as I was the seller of the coin in question. I'm glad it was well-received! I've been collecting for about 15 years and only sell when I need to pay for something I've bought :) I love the old ANA holders and will actually be listing 5 more tonight, so check them out. I've read this forum (and others) for several years, but only just joined since one of my coins was being talked about! Anyway, hello to everyone and I look forward to future threads.

Chubrown to the CCF :) It is indeed quite pretty. I have a fondness for old holders (OGH, ANA, Photo Certificate..) You'll find a lot of us here who are passionate about Morgan dollars as well as every other coin series. Stick around and get to know the "regulars" -- it's an awesome community.
