Excellent gift!

You could always get him a book on Buffalo nickels some day.

And, of course, more coins.

That's got to be $23 well spent. Nice little set there.

Fine gesture ... Now, consider giving him a Red Book for Christmas!

You ought to show him how to find the date by etching it in vinegar. I did that and it turned out to be a 1916-D.

Very nice. Add a folder, or better, an album he can start to fill and we may have a new collector.

Good job!

I took John1 and NJ BOB's advise and added this folder. I picked it up in new condition on ebay for $4.95 plus shipping. I hope the empty holes will inspire him to complete the set as it would be nice to have something else in common to talk about.

I am really enjoying these low end Buffalo nickels. I saw these better dates on ebay and could not pass bidding on the coins. I Paid $4.80 plus shipping. I have been collecting Morgan dollars and I find it refreshing to find a better date classic coin for around a dollar. Below are the 4 dates that I just picked up, I really like the 1915 & 1916-S. It is a good thing my son is going to be here next Sunday or I would have his folder filled in no time.
