They're here in central Ohio. Got a $25 box of cents from the bank three weeks ago,and found nearly 50 scattered through the rolls in the box. Not really plentiful, but they are out there.

Orlando here, just the Oklahoma quarters from Philadelphia. Finally got a Utah quarter from the Denver mint, though.

I live in northern Illinois and have not received a 2008 coin yet. My brother lives in Arizona and gets them all the time. He gave me a 2008 penny. Says he has gotten a mess or the 2008 quarters also.

Received an '08-D cent today, to match the Philadelphia one in the album. Also got an '08 Canadian cent ( RCM logo). Nickels and Dimes have yet to make an appearance.

I've come across 2008s. I've seen(all P mints)cents, dimes, nickels and a couple of Monroe dollars. No quarters or any other dollars yet, and no D mints.

Well I finally found a 2008 D Cent. Was not fresh ether, AU. It takes a frustrating long time for new coins (except for the Pres Dollars) to get here.

Stamp machine at Post Office gave me 2 Monroes and a Madison in change yesterday. I haven't been paying much attention to modern coinage -- is there a preferred direction to the edge lettering? The Madison's is upside down relative to the Monroes. I've found nothing searching the web for an answer, except one ebay'er claiming "upside down" is rare. (PS: I found this forum a month ago, and I think this is my first post. Great website!)

Since the striking of the obverse/reverse and stamping of the edge lettering are done in two separate operations, and the coins are dumped in bins between them, it's a 50-50 chance for the lettering to be right side up. Not that this stops some ebay sellers from claiming they're great rarities.
