For some reason, I'm having trouble finding a decent circulated 1986-P quarter.
As CelticKnot mentioned in his post, the P mints are always a bit harder to find compared to the D mints if you're west of the Mississippi River (I live in Kansas). Most of the National Park quarters I'm still missing are P mint.

The 1954 P Wheat cent was tough for me. I wasn't going for high grade, but it still took me years to come across one that I could get for a reasonable price. I was searching from circulation for 8 years, plus four hoards of 200-2,000 wheat cents each, and I only found one. I also have almost no ATB Quarters from 2012-2014, despite very high mintages. The 1978-D half was a tough one too; took a good 3 boxes to find one.

my trouble one here in NYS is a 1990 Canada penny. The mintage is 200 million which is a little smaller than usual but I have found virtually every Canada penny from King George VI and QE2 and on put that one eludes me and its gotten harder finding Canadian pennies since they are scrapping them I might have to buy one and the cheapest red one is 3.50 on ebay ....ugh !!

1949 S LWC. Yes, I already have a ton of them, but in 11 years of CRHing and over 3000 wheat cents, still never found one.

1949-P, 1980-D & 1997-P Lincoln cents. These are the only post 1930 Lincoln cents I havn't found after searching tens of thousands of cents.
To be fair the holes for 70-S (small date) & the 1960 sm/LG varieties are also missing from my 7100. Not because I couldn't find them...I'm just awful at attributing the date varieties.

Most of the National Park quarters I'm still missing are P mint. The '86-D quarter has low rims like the '84 and '85 so it's not protected from damage and gouges. It also went into circulation very rapidly allowing more even wear among specimens.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

For SpaceMan: I have several Alaska 2008d and 2012d if you still need one. I found 5 1960 Lincoln Cent small dates. The hardest one so far in cent has been a 1954. 10 boxes CRH and only found 1

I actually found the 2008D a month or so ago. I have bought a new album for another set, but its far from complete.
I'll let you know in the future if I need another one. Thanks!

Post 1959 Lincoln Cent the only one I'm having a hard time to find to complete my book is 1973s , maybe because I'm in upstate NY... Older than 1959 I need several , specially from the range 1909-1929, I keep hunting them

I have had plenty of trouble finding D coins here in western Massachusetts. I began collecting coins in NJ, and while P coins were much plentiful than Ds, the Ds eventually did show up.
But to give you an example, in the six-year period 2010-15, the National Park Collection quarters have had five different possible coins each year, for a total of 30 of each P and D. I've been able to assemble 28 out of 30 P dates, but only 2 out of 30 D dates!

Through CRH, I've always had a hard time finding the newer ATB Quarters. I'm still missing one from last year.

These are the only post 1930 Lincoln cents I havn't found after searching tens of thousands of cents.Where I live, the 1997-P is very common, easily in the top 20 most common pennies I find in roll. Getting Denver pennies is a lot harder and the 1980-D is missing from my collection too. Finding wheat pennies is another story. So many people collect them simply because. While at the local library I stopped by the check out counter and asked a librarian if anyone had paid a fine with Kennedy's of Ike's hoping to get lucky. She actually looked in the registers for me but found none. She then mentioned that if she sees wheat pennies, she keeps them (' ') She's not a coin collector, just likes to hold onto wheats, a lot of people do. Finding a 1949-P in the wild can be done, I find 40's and 50's all the time. If you get lucky maybe someone has a stash of 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's wheats and can spare you a coin or two, just ask. My goodness, what would one do with such a stash? Tease fellow CCF members? .....................................(' ')

I'm still looking for a 2015 "British Surrender" quarter. I've been getting 2016 Shawnee quarters in my daily change with increasing regularity, not sure why the 2015 coin is so hard to find.
