Silveroid, Are you still a MC member with so few coin purchases from the Mint? If so, your MC membership is not going to be renewed if you don't buy more coins from the Mint.

I am really on the fence whether or not to maintain the basic membership, since Canada Post offers free shipping. Id have no problem if issue prices didn't fall like a rock within the first year. To me its a huge turn off, with almost instant price drop, it doesn't have to gain in value. At least with the different circulation coins they already have a track record. Only down side there's seldom a design change. The bank thing isn't worth it to me. Like everyone has said there's only a couple highly sought after coins a year. So at the Silver level they will be sold out, prior to new set up, a rep was the answer. Now what's the point of having one, when its easier to order over the website. I see to much duplication of services. The rep will not help me access platinum level coins, and I am fine with this.

Yes, MoneyPenney, you right, I will loose it.

For the 3 years I bought many coins, current and the old one, increasing my collection base and trying to understand, what exactly I want and how do I want to see my collection.
When the flood of 2013 / 2014 started and increased, I've decided, that do not want to be like warehouse of NCLT and prefer to have the "core" plus really chosen ones.

And like Pocket_change said, nothing special in Silver status, although I will miss the MC monthly booklets.
The majority of the items that I wanted, were available to all the customers.....

I think those monthly catalogs get mailed out to anyone who signs up on the website. Mine always arrived after the release. I do keep mine, its a nice little record of releases and nicely done.

What are these reps going to do, doesn't seem like many forum member are going to be big spenders anymore. My first rep just started Sept 2014, and I was switched in July to someone else. I wonder if they will discontinue reps for Silver MC. Also we heard how the top tiers would be invited to webinars, has anyone had the experience yet.

Looking at a pre-order for the 2016 Uncirculated 6 Coin Set on ebay, the 25 cent coin is missing the year. Surely just a mistake in the photo from the mint and C4F didn't take that picture or has these on hand waiting for the day he is aloud to ship. But once these start shipping, it might be something to watch out for.

rjlavoie, it's not the photo, it's just a stock image, where the designer have forgotten to apply the year over the 25c coin image.

Unfortunately, that's true. Nothing expected to be exceptional here...but who knows.

Once some RAM's silver coin shown "Au" instead of "Ag" on the image. I thought that found a treasure and quickly called the mint. They've checked, apologized for stock picture mistake and corrected next day.

Looks like the Transatlantic Cable coin will be a single or in a pure silver proof set. The one in the set will have selective gold plating. Mintage is 20,000 each. New is a payment system. You can either pay the full amount or make 2 monthly payments for the set. The coin will ship after full payment is made.

There will also be a 14-karat Gold Coin - Centennial of the Parliament Buildings Fire - Mintage: 1,500. This is $600 or 3 monthly payments.

The mintage stays the same as the previous year for the 2016 Uncirculated Set at 60,000 and the price is also the same at $24.95.

My goodness... where to start?

I'm still stunned by the $100-$130 price range for $18 of silver that's currently selling at the RCM ... what follows in January is sure to be a continuation of this insane mark up!

Not with a ten-foot pole.

2016 Canada Sculptural Art Parliament - Grotesque Wild Green Man $25 Silver Coin

looks like UHR

2016 Canada $1 150th Anniversary Transatlantic Cable One Dollar Pure Silver Coin

2016 Canada 150th Anniversary Transatlantic Cable Pure Silver Proof 7-Coin Set
Two above will be great for the SDs collectors

2016 Canada Baby Gift 5 Coin Set $2, specially struck $1, 25c, 10c, 5
New "ABC" Loonie (not silver)

2016 Canada O Canada Gift 5 Coin Set $2, specially struck $1, 25c, 10c, 5c
Nice retro-design of the package

2016 - Canada - Dragon Dance - $8 Pure Silver Coin
Interesting design, but again overused "Dragon" theme.
And 1/4oz with small size doesn't make it attractive.

First coin in the new Aircraft of the First World War series.
2016 Canada Aircraft of WWI #1 - Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5A - $20 Silver Coin
Nice for the children of the pilots from WWI
and of cause King George V on the obverse.

First coin in the new Canadian Salmonids series.
2016 - $20 1 oz Pure Silver Coin - Canadian Salmonids - Atlantic Salmon
Fishes again.
The 3-Coin Set comes with Box and Fishing Lure. Oh, again something junky they put in the box with coins.

Thanks to Coins.4.Fun for detailed info.
All available at Coins.4.Fun store

ADDED:
Somehow skipped previously:

The 2oz GITD sticker has back:
2016 Canada Glow-In-The-Dark Northern Lights In Moonlight 2oz $30 Silver Coin
Weird idea by RCM: what is glowing in the dark on this coins - the wolfs?
Mint like to "chew" the themes:
"Northern Light" - we had this,
"Howling wolf" - many times,
"Howling wolf with the Northern Lights" - was something similar
"2oz GITD sticker Howling wolf with the Northern Lights" - this is exactly what people need now.
Btw, the seller has the first one exactly for the same price.

Imo, yes, compares with the second.
Means this there will be demand for it...? Don't know. But people who collect coins like "Chromadepth effect", will like it.
