I'm pretty stoked tbh. I didn't think that I would get something like this so quickly from CRH'ing!

Great find! Going to send it off for grading?
I was going to ask if you were selling, but saw the post saying you were keeping it. I've gotta keep a better eye out for these!

ElonU - send it to PCGS? Or elsewhere?

I personally like NGC, as I like the aesthetics with the coin in negative space versus in a totally clear holder. I'm sure most would say PCGS.

What are 98 WAM's worth today? I doubt it would be worth sending in for slabbing. A 99 sure, but a 98 or 2000 I don't think so.

Conder101 - that's a great Q. Google told me that it's worth up to $75 depending on its condition.
@Rackster, YAY!! I was soooo excited! That day I stayed up for like 39 hours. This not sleeping is for the birds.

Decent find... Okay, great find MS-63? Anyways, not worth sending into PCGS, NGC, or even ANACS imho. Worth around $40-50

COTW - when is it worth sending to one to any of them?

Quote: COTW - when is it worth sending to one to any of them? This is all up to the individual. I for one do not like slabbing coins. But you would need to take in account the cost vs. the benefit. You really need to have enough knowledge as to what you feel the coin would grade, and what the market is on that coin in that grade. If a WAM in the grade you have sells on ebay for $50-$75 on a regular basis, is it worth to $25+ to have yours slabbed?

Great find! I've had slabbed a couple coins in the 20-40$ range before only because I found them and wanted them slabbed for my personal collection. Worth it monetarily? Probably not-but for me very much so

Lot of hate on the slabs! I love graded coins! Have sent a few in from my personal collection over the years to be graded, some with the raw coin value less than $50.
Waste of money? Absolutely not. It's all about preference.

I think I am going to go ahead and have it graded. This will eventually be given to my son in my will. When he receives it, I want it to be in the best possible shape.
Thank you everyone for your congrats, great jobs, etc... and for your opinions about grading.
