just to be clear, I wouldn't put this past VF30 ICCS but I've seen so many coins in NGC and PCGS slabs that are over-graded. That's why I said AU50

A good range put forward by all. I thought it was more in the VF-30 to EF-40 range, but will have to wait until I have it in hand. I think it will make a nice addition to my nicely toned EF-AU 1858 set, now just the 5 cent to go. The braid is the big area of wear, but I like the details in the hair.

It would not surprise me if ICCS went that route. I tried to gauge based on a few pictures. It would be nice if some more detail came out of the braid with a different angle. I think the ICCS 45 is probably a bit overgraded. I could not find a clean ICCS vf30 picture to compare, but it looks a little worse than the NGC, but hard to tell. I'd say ICCS VF30 at best might get only VF20. Ill go with EF45 for NGC.
