Wade I like the idea of the slabs also but take a look at your coin the dates don't match.
Cheers, Bill

Wade, how did a 1964 cent get into an ICCS holder tagged as a 1963?

Wade, how is the quality of the holders? Do they snap together nice and tightly? I think that is exactly what I have been looking for. A convenient way to store ICCS large cents when many are in NGC/PCGS holders

the slab I posted has the ICCS label photo-shopped in as for the slabs themselves, I've been on the hunt to upgrade from 2x2's for a while now, without sending for TPG'ing. so far the best ones I've played with are the " Coin World premier" (uses a harder rubber insert instead of foam) but they've recently discontinued white and black inserts for a dark green /boggle (I prefer black on silver and white for toned copper). next best is the lighthouse quickslabs (black inserts), however I don't like the way the foam "pillows" around the edges of thinner coins. the acrylic is also thinner than the Coin World premier. BCW is similar to lighthouse but the foam is EVA foam which contains vinyl (not sure how closely this is related to Poly Vinyl Chloride / PVC, but just the word vinyl alone scares me) all can be had for around $2 USD each what I REALLY wish was available would be either a direct fit 2x3 snap, (instead of 2x2) OR these (if they could be proved safe to use). made in China, I've ordered a sample and tempted to send it off for proper testing.

This topic has been so interesting I have nothing to contribute but I hope to hear more about this Chinese copy of the PCGS slab mentioned above.

I just sent a note to the ebay seller to ask what kind of materials the holders and foam are made of. The price is great, but I would not want to damage my coins over a buck or two per holder, but the savings would be significant compared to Lighthouse and others... Glad I did not jump full into slab type holders yet for certain denominations, I have a bunch of the Quadrum 2x2's, which I like, but would like to have a space for putting some basic info about the coin. With larger diameter coins, there is not much room for an info sheet.

the hobby needs something new. here's another product offered by the maker of the PCGS slab knock-off, VERY interesting alternative. still nervous about long term storage (everyone claims to be safe). I wonder if there would be support ($$$ crowd funding from collectors) to have all major brands tested for actual chemical content ? (not just China direct knock offs & name brands like BCW, but also TPG's) costs about $80 per sample for basic PVC testing. north of $150 for specific chemical breakdown/analysis.

I do like the Lighthouse Everslabs for my Canadian silver dollars. They were $7 Canadian for 5. I made my own labels on a Word document.

CCCS has a video or pics showing how their slab is water proof , dunked in a tub of water, but just can't recall where I've seen it.

I'd forgot to mention with CCCS certification; there is a reference number on the slab that you punch into the cccs website and it has all the info about the coin/currency.
