Sweet coin! :D I believe it to be a genuine double strike. Funny enough I was just thinking about double strikes earlier today, and here you find one. How long have you been roll hunting for?

I have been coin roll hunting for about 2 years but never found a genuine error coin before. All the past error finds were PMD. This find might be my first rare one.

It's cooler than you know. What you've got is a normal first strike and a weak second strike. Minimum die clearance must have increased after the first strike for some reason.
I've seen several similar in-collar double strikes, but such errors remain quite rare.

Wow. I bet it's worth a "pretty penny" lol. If you want to sell contact Heritage Auctions. Email them pics and they'll be calling you before you can even get up from your computer most likely

That is a really cool double strike, just enough rotation and pressure.

Quote: This is awesome news....thanks for all the feedback...now I am wondering what this coin might be worth I would definately talk to Mike Diamond about this. He could shed more light than all of us put together on this forum. It might even be better for you to get it slabbed, as I feel it would really help your return a lot if the buyer can bid confidently of it being legit. And Heritage Auctions or Teletrade would be the way to go with a coin like this.

First you'd have to have confidence that the grading service would assign the correct description. And that's doubtful. Every slabbed in-collar double strike with a weak second strike that I've seen has simply been labeled as "double-struck" or "in-collar double strike". They seem incapable of going beyond that.
As for value, I'd estimate $250 if correctly described.
