1897 PCGS MS-64 cent..this one's real nice in hand, if you handed it to me raw i'd have given it at least a 64+..I'm not sure the populations in red but this is one of 6 in 64BN and only one in 65BN. I'm happy to be in joint ownership of this piece with a fellow forum member, Apitrix.
Feel free to call me Will.

Great coins guys! And dollarman, nice to see you and Apitrix bought that 1897. I was going to bid on it as well but had to pass because I was saving for another lot. Great to see it in a fellow CCF member's hands!

Just curious here, but exactly how does one have "joint ownership" of a coin? (unless in a business relationship, like the BC gold patterns)

Went halves on the coin, with a business like approach, with the understanding of either of us want to buy the other out we can, or if we get an offer, we sell and split the money :)

Here is one, just back from PCGS. Finest graded by PCGS, cherry-picked at face value from a bulk nickel dollar and 50-cent lot that I bought. I don't collect 50-cent coins, but this one is absolutely gorgeous, and I am thinking about keeping it. http://www.PCGS.com/cert/83460950

SPP are the scratches on the face as visible as in the clear view? I am not seeing a 67 in this coin, no offense

1974 Double Yoke - finest graded by PCGS (MS-66). This one took me a loooooooong time to find, searching a lot of ICCS certified coins. http://www.PCGS.com/cert/83460966

Quote: SPP are the scratches on the face as visible as in the clear view? I am not seeing a 67 in this coin, no offense Those are not scratches per se, this particularly is extremely tough, if not impossible, to find with a fully struck chin and cheek. Those are a combination of marks inherent to the planchet (like you see on some loon dollars, possibly from the blank burnishing process) and the weaker strike on that part of the coin. The surface itself is smooth, and there is not a mark on this coin, but the weaker strike and effects of the planchet in those weakly struck areas, probably hurt this coin in getting a higher grade (eye-appeal counts with PCGS).
