I guess on this one, the question is, which came first, the chip or the crack?

BU coins always pose a problem to me. I got the second batch of images by folding a piece of printer paper in half and standing it upright pn the table like an open book. I placed the coin in between each half of the paper and took two strong lights. I shined each one on the outside of each half of paper. This caused the entire sheet of paper to illuminate, thus creating light all around the coin surface. Then just used my 2mp usb microscope to take the images.

Nice example of a BIE. I am sure JC will be interested in this one. When I take images of new coins. I try to flood the coin with as much light as possible and decrease the hot-spots. Once I get the picture, I can fool around with the Adobe Photoshop to get the results that I want.

Congrats Seal, that is cool that he listed it as a multiple - not many of those especially on the shields.
