ExoGuy Pillar of the Community United States 4421 Posts	Posted 07/04/2016 12:58 pm Given my appreciation for counterstamps and not having a stamped Fugio Cent in my collection, I had to pull the trigger on this one. Given the obverse and reverse die markers, I believe that the seller's attribution, 7-T, is correct. I suspect that the counterstamp may be the early issue of a pair of silversmiths who used similar marks. Report this Post to the Staff

The key diagnostic lies in the date, being an apparent die cutting error - "1 over horizontal 1." Damage aside, the coin looks better in-hand, albeit a "fine details" coin.
