There was a story about bad luck following 30 pieces of silver. Something about evil of Biblical proportions. I have a Shekel of Tyre of that probable type and it has behaved itself. So no, not especially have I noticed any connection.

Seems like most people don't believe in the bad luck thing. But probably carry a favorite coin for good luck just in case.

Now if it was Grandma's favorite China set that she wanted to stay in the family, but someone in the family sold it against her wishes, then you may run into problems. I see no problems with coins though.

Well....what if it was Grandpa's coin collection that he wanted to stay in the family, but someone in the family sold it against his wishes?

Nope. When I kept my Ike it was more for the "my coin is bigger than yours" reason.

For the record, there was a show about haunted objects called "Haunted Collector." I sensed a lot of BS in that show. For example, the team found a 100-year-old ring belonging to a family member, whose grave is at the bottom of an artificial lake, in the drain of a pool a mile away that was built about 50 years after her death. That was a bit too far-fetched.

Since you have no idea what your luck would have been if you hadn't bought it, how do you know the coin isn't providing you with GOOD LUCK that is keeping things from being truly horrible? Who knows, if you hadn't bought the coin you might have been run down by a car, shot to death in a driveby, contracted ebola etc.

Well, the hope diamond, for example. Everyone who has touched it or handled it, or owned it, has had very unfortunate happenings to them. Coincidence? I think not.

Of course ghosts and haunts and bigfoots are all alive and well on TV these days. But, none of them have shown any real proof.
So, until they have some real proof about their existence, we will all just have to stick to proof coins and pay no attention to all the bull.

Sounds like the best course of action.
