Numisma - get a packet of post-its. You can fold specimens up individually and seal them off with the adhesive backing. That's what I do when I find a specimen in change that I don't want keys ruining (and it happened).

For what it's worth, I use a few different color post-its ( Walmart brand) and a pen to wrap and tentatively ID my CRH finds. Later, depending on the color, I revisit the ID and/or move them into flips.

I'm taking $30 in assorted rolls with me tomorrow, as well as some post-its.

I just got home. I must say it was quite overwhelming- I ended up counting cents, and about 15% were wheats. I just grabbed as many as possible and traded them out, although a lot more slipped past. I also got a few older nickels and some Canadian cents. I didn't have time to look at most of the dates, so I'll get back soon with a tally. There was also a 1977-D Ike in someone else's pile, but I didn't get to swap it.

Wheats: 1925 1934 1939 1940 (woody, but covered in green crud) 1942 1942-D 1944 x5 1944-D x3 1944-S 1945 x3 1945-D 1945-S 1946-D x3 1947-S 1948-S 1949-D 1950-D 1952-D x4 1952-S 1953 1953-D x2 1953-S 1954-D x2 1955 Poor Man's DD 1955-D x4 1956-D x5 1957-D 1958 (AU RB) 1958-D x3
Nickels: 1948 1949 1958-D x2
Canadian cents: 1947 Maple leaf, pointed 7 1962 1964 1974 1977 x2 1978 1979 1982 1988
Other: 2009-D cent
I took a handful of copper cents as well, but didn't focus on them as there were a lot. My heart skipped a beat when I looked at a 1969-D and the date was doubled, until I realized that it was just MD.
Also, some great news- I received confirmation that the coins will be deposited at the local Bank of America, where I have an account. I know where I'm going on Monday!

When I got there, they said they had already shipped the rolls off. Oh well, I left with some other stuff. Two boxes each of nickels and cents, and 7 CWRs of halves. I did a quick edge search of a few half rolls in the car and found 1 40%, a 69-D. By the way, I should mention that all the wheats listed above were found in $3-$4 face of cents.

Nice yield anyway. It ended up being a good opportunity!

While I'm sure George would be proud of me, I don't know if I could live with myself...
