look what he put in the description now! To all the forum nerds thanks for the comedy, poor lighting results in humorous messages. This is a very scarce and unique 1990 Penny, with the rare 1990 no S proof Cent. According to the PCGS website fewer than 200, 1990 no S proof cents exist.

I guess he got a lot of CCF members sending him messages.
The auction was stopped.
I sent seller another message. Told him/her that maybe the forum nerds know more about coins than he does.
But if he was so sure it is ... send it to PCGS.

I see numerous ebay sellers with a 100% positive feedback rating selling fake errors as genuine, so in my opinion 100% feedback doesn't hold much weight.. When it comes to zero feedback, all new sellers start with zero, and I wouldn't let a zero rating prevent me from bidding, providing they had just registered with ebay, and not listing key date or rare items.. I most likely would cap my bid at around $25.00 for a zero to 25 feedback rating..

I've done very well with low feedback sellers who know nothing about coins and only list one or two at a time, probably from an inherited collection. I'm waiting on one's I purchased that way last year for NGC to grade (way over working days already). Ill show results and photos and prices paid whenever I get them back.

Has it ever crossed this guy's mind that maybe, just maybe, the "forum nerds" are actually RIGHT?

I mean, look at what else he's selling. He has a 1879 O Morgan, which is in one of those blocks that was sold as a novelty back in the 60's and the 70's. I forgot what the material is called, but basically once the coin is in there, it's pretty much destroyed. I suppose you could try and melt it off, but I'm sure it's dangerous to breathe in and the coin will still be damaged regardless. Anyways, he's asking 2.4K for it and states "Extremely rare 1879-O Morgan silver dollar in premier shape and has been stored properly for years." Since when is this a "proper" way to "store" a coin?

With what this seller wants for things, they will get "bored" with ebay very fast.

Seller only had a couple feedbacks and no other coins but I got a deal on a 1924-S Buffalo nice circulated very fine with a partial 1/2 horn for $16 ...... Picture was at a distance and was poor but knowing the date and looking at what little he had up, figured guy was straight shooter and he was, I scored ...... But then most recently Seller posted an AU 1918 Buffalo and sent me a good, yea right buddy, anyways I asked if he sent wrong coin but he did no reply so I opened case and ebay took care of ..... He was a scam artist and I should of seen it but at $13.50 for an AU 1918 Buffalo I'll take a chance - if ebay hadn't death with my next move was credit card company as I don't use PayPal, rather all purchases go through my credit card which does run through ebay!

The gentleman is also liable for copyright infringement for the cut/paste he did in the description copy. A couple sentences at the beginning are his own, then he stole copy from an un-cited source.
It's a veritable minefield out there!

He no longer has any coins for sale. Just stupid sweatshirts for hundreds of dollars. I hope whoever buys them doesn't pay him doesn't pay him in 1990 Pennies or we will have to start this whole thing over again.
