I think we're having two threads for the same coin series: https://goccf.com/t/257000&whichpage=2Just shows how popular these are... :) But it would still be good if one of the mods could close one of them to make it easier for everyone.

The 2 ounce silver coin is available for sale from The Royal Mint bullion site: https://www.royalmintbullion.com/Pr...lver/QB16LSCSingle coin cost is £31.58 (excluding UK 20% VAT). They say the VAT is £6.32 but the total only comes to £37.89. Catch with ordering from The Royal Mint bullion site, is you need to transfer funds into my account before I can purchase. Seems that £37.89 figure is wrong according to The Royal Mint Facebook page since folks are saying if they try to order is £37.89 in the account the order is not taken but works when they have £37.90 in the account.

@SilverBug - Indeed (and a rather morbid thought :))
I hope they release two coins each year, so collectors can complete the collection within 5 years, which is quite a reasonable time frame.

I saw Coin Shoppe was selling these and sold out so looks like I missed the boat with them as I do like them. Are they going to carry more of these and if not, who else is selling these... anyone offering mint caps with these? Or has anyone order directly from the Mint... tho I understood it was a bit complicated to buy directly from The Royal Mint...

I bought both the 1 oz. Gold and the 2 oz. Silver back in May. While the Silver coin is still available from my dealer, the Gold coin appears to be sold out. I think both of these coins are worthy of being offered in proof finish - moreso than many of proofs being offered these days.

I wanted to get these but there are so many choices out there I got cold feet.
I wonder too, if one goes to unload these, whos going to buy them? Britannia's as an example, are a hard sell on the secondary market.

Both coins were being offered at Spot+, so there wasn't any special premium charged for being "first in series". I figure they will always be worth their respective melt values, and could possibly command a premium in the future as many first in series coins do. I would sooner purchase these coins than one of the 300 offerings that the RCM pumps out year after year ad nauseum.

Anyone can share the final mintage of the 1st issuance? I would very much decide whether to invest in these non capsule high premium Beasts.
Thx in advance.
