As I stated earlier, I was told a story about someone getting a complete roll of them more than a few years back. The roll was not 50 (maybe 25?) and had iron/steel clips at the ends. I'll talk to the story teller at the Expo and let you all know.

Now what would be really cool is if you could find those clip ends..

Since the Vicky Cents were the same diameter as the Brit halfpennies, the "rolls" made have been modifications of them.

wow...
Here I haven't started collecting until very recently large cents because of the cost involved (my collection is still largely taken from circulation; I have purchased a single 1859 (don't ask me which variant, I haven't a clue), but haven't been able to find an example of 1858... at least not one I could afford!

After the 1884s, it will be five (I do have a heart) 1881H SSNs. well jhax I have been on a roll lately with the 1884 obv 1's but you can forget the ssn that wont happen

Wow!! This is impressive! You have more 1858's than I have all large cents.

Impressive! I was a single date collector at one time and honed in on 1890. Simply because the reverse relief seemed so strong and it symbolized a vanished period. Much easier to acquire than the 1858 and I quit after several hundred.

I just added two pieces to my collection. Up to 22 different die pairs.

Nice to see this updated thread.
The 1858 is the only coin missing in my Lg Cent collection, I got sidetracked by varieties.
