Quote: You guys have way too much time on your hands. I am unable to locate the mintages for the 2014-S and 2015-S pennies. The pennies on average are 58.2% of all coins minted every month of the year as ordered by the Federal Reserve.

Well, let's see: 561,235,459,721 cents * 0.152cm thickness per cent * (1in/2.54cm) * (1ft/12in) * (1mi/5280ft) = 530,078 miles, more or less . By the way, the distance to the moon is 238,900 miles... And since I'm retired, yes, I have too much time on my hands

I have a question Coop. If the The Latin root word "cent" which means "one hundred" and the coins are minted as a Penny. The answer should be 0 cent to your question. The word cent is used as a unit to describe "one-hundredth". So my answer is 0. But a boat load of pennies have been made..
