I will say AU-53. Graders are really tough on 84-S's for some reason. This beauty only got MS-60 from PCGS:

And that's exactly why I asked...MS is crazy money in this coin! This still worth a submission to PCGS even at 53 or 55?

Looks AU-55 for detail and luster. The color looks off but that could easily be due to the photo. There are some dark areas near the obverse rim (especially around E of E Pluribus Unum) that may be of concern. They look like some slight corrosion may be present.

A problem-free, PCGS or NGC-graded AU-55 sells in the $300-$500 range so your coin may be worth a grading fee investment. PCGS should provide higher resale value but they may be less likely to grade it that high. I have this date in ANACS AU-55 and mine was definitely priced below comparable examples in PCGS holders.

I will go AU53 based on what can be discerned in these images. The color does look odd but that is likely just the photos?

AU-55. It gives me a "cleaned" feel, but it is hard to tell as it may just be the photo/lighting.

Here are some "better" pictures. The gold toning is hard to capture...

I'll stick with AU53. It looks like a nice piece in the TrueView.

Not a candidate for TPG intervention. To much rub on hair and eagles breast. My guess is an XF45 based on the pic. Better pics could upgrade the assessment.

I guess the grader was having a good day...AU 58 says PCGS. Needless to say, I was very happy with this!
