That's an excellant price you got if for. I think you meant 1984 because that year has the doubled ear variety, but I don't think 1985 has any major error.

Thanks Slamnnass it's Unc Details and a note of altered color. It looks to me like it's turning brown a little. Eric there is an awesome Doubled Die for 1985.

Eric he had a very nice 84 ear penny, very vivid. I could only get these two at the time.

I'm glad ya'll like it. It's the strongest Doubled Die Reverse in the Lincoln series, easy to see with 20/20 vision. Because it's so visible it's not likely to be found in circulation, but it's not impossible.

Yes it is uncirculated details. Looks to me like a partial print on the obverse and turning brown.

Yep, I understand Slamnbass. If you ever get a chance you should see one in hand. Pictures lack something I can't quite describe.

Is the 1985 a recent discovery? I have the DDO-001 and it's OK. Wexler lists a decent DDR (WDDR-003), but neither are even close to that 1983. Wexler's WDDR-003 isn't even a "Best of". I'm anxious to see the 1985 you are referring to. It needs to be on my radar.

Sorry, I misspoke. There are 1985 DD's but none as good as I was thinking. I saw one on here a while back but I believe now it was a 1983. There is a pretty decent 1995, but not as good as the 1983.

I've got a PCGS MS63RB example for sale on ebay right now, and haven't had any offers higher than $150 for it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1983-1C-DDR...72155290784?
