The price for the gold Delta has really collapse with a graded 69 coin selling for $877 + $132 shipping according to the talk from the other coin forum.

Yes, the member followed the MCM auction for PF70 and PF69 coins.
Normally, according to the latest trends, the PF70 would be the keeper, and '69 valued at least issue price. But not in this case: PF70 commanded "weak" premium (better not to keep) PF69 went like "garage sale"
People (collectors , fans) have been overfed with Star Trek themed coins. To be great success, this Delta should be the first one from all the offerings.

@Electrum Totally agree with you....just got my Library of Parliament coins....almost 2 months after release date. Trying to sell for a modest profit (I'm the guy buying/selling coins to pay for the one I want to keep), but sales are moving pretty slowly. "win some you lose some"

Certainly the history of the long delivery times, ie: for some Library, the Delta, most recently and in past the 1st Dino GID and 2 loons coins, in past, play a big factor in future price success

Quote: "win some you lose some" Should be "win little, lose most of the time". Increased mintage, increasing number of releases, lower demand, dealers getting discounts, how can any one make money flipping coins?

So, despite the purists, I continue to evolve my Star Trek set from the RCM. I've just added the 5 Captains to maintain order in the set. I have yet to acquire the borg. However I did slip, and also got the NIUE Silver Delta along with the Gold RCM one.

Great set up!! I need to start doing something along these lines. I stick everything away in plastic bins so no one sees anything. LOL

Great set.
Continue to keep it 'Canadian' (with the exceptions like very elegant silver Delta).
Do you collect other Star Trek related items, not coins?

Thank you for all of the compliments, but really it was just a 'thing' I threw together after receiving the '5 captains'. I figured they should all be on one shelf...and it sort of worked.

Quote:Just noticed that the Star Trek Delta gold coin sold for $1255.57 on ebay. Auction type listings generally sell for less than Buy it Now listings and this is the case here. A recent Buy it Now listing sold for above issue price. Nevertheless, the demand for the gold delta coin has soften considerably 1 year later. You are lucky to break even if you chose to sell it. A far cry from people who keep insisting the coin was going to sell double than the issue price.

...Enjoy your coin (any coin I mean) for design and be happy if occasionally it went to be popular. Quote: A far cry from people who keep insisting the coin was going to sell double than the issue price. "the coin was going to sell double than the issue price" = 2013 Gold Superman selling price will cross CAD 3.000 close to Christmas
