Not bad SV! You might want to adjust your exposure some as you're blowing out the details a little, especially in the 2nd shot. Nice coin and nice pics!

It should help some when I get some diffusers made....and yes I did think about adjusting the exposure a tad more. But in my case I am taking pictures for online sales and I blow away most other sellers pictures, not to say I couldn't or wouldn't try to make them better...it is a time is money type situation, but at the same time...better pictures usually sell the product quicker and for more $$$...thanks, I like to think I am doing well for only a few months of self training...!

What type of lighting do you use? Do you use all 4 of the sources for all your shots? Thanks, Ham.

My lights are all 5200K Florescent. Altogether I have 7 45W & 2 20W lights. I use different combos. I am about ready to start making some diffusers but still haven't decided on a design yet. On my copy stand I usually run 4, 2-20's and 2-45's as shown but I have shot with 3, 2, 1 & none. I am in a completely sunlight free basement and I turn off all lighting except what I am shooting with. Still learning all this, at least Amazon no longer suppresses my listings for not having a pure white background...lol

This is a great group and I am sooooo glad I found it...Thanks everyone...! Hope to learn a bunch more yet even though the wife is starting to raise her eyebrow about all the new toys...lol

SV...I'm not fond of the side-lighting effect. The highlights on the edges of the features are very far from the "in-hand" look. You can probably keep lighting the same way you're doing now, but block off the lower part of the light to keep the high-angle illumination, and maybe get a better effect.
