olympic-cn Lots of oversized cash coins. The strokes on the characters are too thick. The patina is the same throughout all of the coins. Also notice how some common Qing cash are being counterfeited as well. http://www.ebay.com/sch/Coins-Paper...ic-cn&_sac=1

anhuijieshou2013 Many have cheap green patina, thick character strokes, or improper caligraphic styles. The Qing cash (Xian Feng issues in particular) are well-done counterfeits. I will have to study them more to pick out the fakes. In the meantime, I will not buy any large coins from Xian Feng, and I recommend other to not either. http://www.ebay.com/sch/anhuijiesho...047675.l2562

qinniq27 I won't say everything in this seller's inventory is fake, but one should treat it as such. There are some high-value items here, and there are a few obvious forgeries. This is a seller to be avoided at all costs. http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odk...ina&_sacat=0

yikes, perhaps posting a comprehensive list of sellers not selling Chinese fakes would have been easier.

Why would anyone buy stuff from China, the leading seller of fakes, replicas or copies of items from around the world? It is not a safe investment.

The seller was from Netherlands.

@typecoin - Thanks for doing this. ebay got to know about all these counterfeits. It's like ebay is standing by waiting fakes to sell, unless some report it. I'm sure they can screen oversea sellers more carefully.

Bob Reis is so so, you get real ones most of the time, but if you are not careful you get a few fakes too. The important thing is doing your homework.

It's too easy for sellers to close accounts and open new ones and you'll never keep up with the list of new accounts. IMHO it's better that people learn to spot fakes rather than relying on a list dodgy seller accounts.
