Thanks for posting this.
As I said earlier, these documents are pretty difficult to read.
So, there wil be another $2 circulation commemorative.
I do hope this excessive release policy will be an exception and 2017 will see fewer releases, becasue there can be too much of a good thing.

These $2 coloured coins are already starting to become a bit MEH already .

I mentioned this coin on a previous thread, but I was unsure whether it was worth $1 or $2, because the document lists both specifications. However, it also has a weight of 6.60g, which makes it much more likely to be $2. I wonder if this is the coin they'll release in November.

Sorry, Enlil. I just read you post on the other thread. I thought you were talking about mintmarks, and that just wasn't as exciting as this.

This is the RAM we are talking about
I suspect that next year they will release the alphabet of coloured $2 coins

I really hope that won't happen.
But I guess anything is possible these days.

Perhaps, the RAM will try coloured 20c or 50c commemorative circulation coins?

It is a good way for the mint to mint more coins, as these will be taken out of circulation.

Would be cool if they did a colored 50 cent before they start shrinking.

Yes, it would. I am pretty sure (no proof though) that the RAM is considering it. There are still too many collectors out there who need to be fleeced

Is the shrinking of the 50 Cent coin a done deal, or is the RAM/government just thinking about it?

I want to see a coloured version of the ANZAC $1 coin, because it looks really dull compared to the $2 ones. There are so many commemorative $1 coins in circulation that I barely bat an eyelid when I see one, and because none of them are particularly scarce, I desperately need another incentive to noodle them.

It is a done deal 95% sure, just haven't set a date to when this would be happening.
Same thing as the unset Date of the De'Decimalization of the 5 Cent Coin. Which should be soon as it has been talked about for quite a few years now.
As to that my bank recently ordered me $2000 of these tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny little Bugger's to Noodle Through, I've done maybe $200 and I am now Cross Eyed!
Started with my Antique 15X Triple Len's Eye Loop, then a Standard Higher Magnification Magnifying Glass & Now I am using my Fly Tying Len's.
I think by the end of it I will be Contacting NASA to rent the HUBBLE!

I do not think the new 50c is a done deal or the removal of the 5c. It is just hearsay until they issue a format legal notification. Though eventually they will have to change in, inflation will make sure of that.

There is No Formal ( FINAL ) Date's to these 2 questions as we all know,
Only Logical, 50ct are to big & 5 ct to small + Cost= 6.3 Cent's.
The times they are a changing.

I don't think the removal of the 5c coin is guaranteed at all. The Americans have been talking about removing the penny for the last 50 years, but it never happens because the politicians are afraid that it will cost them votes. Considering the current political climate in Australia, I think it's likely to remain in the "too hard" basket for many years to come.
