Quote: but all I remember is that it's a wolf and seven pups Thank you for that! I was searching Google for a sow with 7 piglets!! Unfortunately, I still have no idea what the coin is. I keep getting Romulus and Remus with the She-wolf founding Rome...

An the journey continues. You may want to considering posting some of those in the Ancient forum as well.

What kind of coin album is this, Moe? Is it a custom made looking one? Haven't ever seen the black pages and noticed it holds a few different sized coins.

This entire collection (so far that I've seen) is a series of loose-leaf type notebook binders that have 4x5 slot PVC sheets that hold 20 2x2 coin holders per page. The PVC has shown itself to be a bad choice as a storage mechanism in a few pages that have a green build-up on some of the coins. The green seems mostly new and seems to be selective in its placement due to the folders's moisture level or the coin's composition.
Not a happy thing to find...

Some conservation work is in order. Get those things out of the PVC and into some acetone, see what you can save.
